Cheaper lithium packs wear out fast and are less stable, while LiFePO4 lasts for thousands of charges. The good news is that the major brands now put LiFePO4 in their budget units, so you can have safe chemistry without paying a premium. If a listing will not clearly tell you the chemistry, walk away.
Next, watch the output watts for your devices. Capacity tells you how long a unit runs, but output tells you what it can run at all. A budget station with a low output may refuse to start a small appliance no matter how full it is.
